DELAYING ART

Greetings everyone, it’s time for a quick honest update.

It’s sunny in Portugal and it looks like spring. I was working as a bartender so I’ve lost my drivers’ license because of DUI. I’ve quit my job, sold most of my stuff and played roulette to make just enough cash to go back to The Netherlands. I hate the cold and it’s just above 0º in Amsterdam, where I’m arriving tomorrow at 18:00.

I’ve never settled before. I’m 26 y.o. single, born in Canada, raised in Portugal. Lived in more than 20 different houses by now, 3 countries, 6 cities. Studied Film and never got a job in the area. I did have some jobs such as dishwasher, prep-cook, luggage boy, cashier clerk, outdoor people communicator, barman, toll boy, receptionist, credit collector, etc. And once again, I’ll go jobless to a new country.

I also take pictures. I started in Lisbon with a project called Lisbon Walk. I was broke and just borrowed a camera and began walking the city like crazy. I must admit I was very influenced by Dayv Mattt - which, in my opinion, is the dopest photographer in tumblr.

Now I’ll try to make a similar thing in Amsterdam. This time, I could invest a little and bought a 550d / Rebel T2i. So that’s what you’ll get from tomorrow on… Amsterdam Street Photography: A Damn Walk.
